The reason we need lawyers is because we have so many laws. Many laws are not right for every situation. Should we do something about our legal system?
A law used to be more of a suggestion. A court could choose to ignore a law or regulation if it was not right for that situation. Could it be a solution?
America was run on the state level. Today a majority of Americans can force laws on a minority. Why not let the states run themselves how they want, with bounds made by the federal government?
Federal taxes and national military would be decided nationally, issues like abortion, and guns would be decided statewide. The senate could strike down fanatical state laws with a supermajority. Yes?
If big issues were decided by cities, then things would be too complicate with major laws differing per city. Desitions by the states would be more reponsible than by every little city. Agree?
