How to Create a Good Quiz
I thought this might be interesting, and of course you can comment other ideas.
Chapter 1
Introduction.
I notice that after taking a few quizzes on Quibblo, I find myself saying the same few things over and over again, that mostly being "could have been a bit longer, or could have used some more options". And if it's a quiz made recently, then I usually get the excuse "sorry, I made this quite quickly / I was rushing because I had to go out" which isn't an excuse at all, if you think about it.
So this is a guide to help you to make a nice quiz.
This isn't supposed to be offensive, this is just my perspective of what a good quiz should look like or be like.

Oh man, I know. I cringe so hard when I see the English language being mutilated by people's carelessness; or getting dumb, inaccurate and biased results like "you're a retard", like wow, is that the thanks I get for taking your quiz, that isn't taken by a zillion people anyway?
Maybe you could also put in hyperlinks to paragon personality and scored quizzes or something too. :) I like this advice thing, it consists of pretty much everything I try to consider for my quizzes.
Great tips! However, I am curious of whether or not you have any suggestions for quiz descriptions. I've been working on a survey regarding a rather sensitive topic for a couple of days now and part of why it's taking so long to publish is because I'm insecure about the way I've worded some of the questions as well as the description. In your opinion, what should a description contain and how should it be written? Thank you for your time. ^_^
All right, I'll be specific. I'm currently working on a survey about abuse. While I feel more comfortable writing a friendly and encouraging message in the description, I wonder if others might prefer a formal text simply describing the quiz. Which would you prefer?
Formal, I'd say it's nearly best to always be formal about it (because that way, you're not being biased and believe me, you can be biased when you mean to be positive) Right down facts and maybe stats. Also maybe what to do if you are being abused, if it's one of those quizzes.
Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it. ^_^
to Deathroker, well, if you look at it one way, you COULD be taking away someone's freedom to do whatever they want to when making their quizz. I mean, There are some folks who just don't want to be told- they think they don't need any input, and so, they just don't appreciate what we would otherwise call 'helping them out'. I know you & I are not that way, but what some people call 'freedom' would amaze & astonish the rest of us. If they are self-centered, they will not care what responders see
Well I stated that this is just a guide. The people who don't want help might look at this out of curiosity, but they won't actually do what it says.
If people want to write a quiz with bad grammar, two questions, no description and about flying rainbow monkeys then they can because as I said before, this won't stop them, but they are missing an opportunity to write a good quiz.
This might just open people's eyes a bit more on what content this site needs.
And you can reply to my comments, it'll keep it in one discussion.
It's kinda like saying you can't make a guide on how to make a cake because you're taking away the opportunity for other types of cakes being made lmao
to Deathrocker, I said, 'your suggestions are mostly helpful, and many could benefit from them IMO' and ' I can agree with the idea that we should stick to 'the facts' {as much as we can} on quizzes about, say, birds or ancient history,', ' have to agree with you on your #10 pointer '...a whole lot of agreement with you !...why do you have to zero-in on a tiny little disagreement ?
Because people dwell on the negative things, and I'm no exception.
Plus telling someone you're taking others freedom away isn't a light comment that's easily ignored.
Having said all of that, I DO have to agree with you on your #10 pointer though lol
(continued from last)
In fact (this might shock you) you, yourself, show quite a bit of strong bias in some areas. I can agree with the idea that we should stick to 'the facts' {as much as we can} on quizzes about, say, birds or ancient history, but we must be aware that even the , so-called, FACTS are often partly opinion and are often subject to change.
One example of me being biased in my quizzes?
I'm dead sure I don't argue with opinion, because there's no point, but the only bias I'm talking about here is putting straight-up, ignorant statements in with no proof to back it up.
I wonder if you're pointlessly trying to find a bone to pick, just because Deathrocker is vastly different and more assertive than some people you have met here, whom are too demure to rock the boat.
There's a huge difference in being biased and just having your own opinions and preferences.
That's what I'm trying to say, but we clearly run on two different waves.
your suggestions are mostly helpful, and many could benefit from them IMO. On the other hand, you're restricting the freedom of others. Sorry, but #5 (on scored quizzes) is kinda funny. When you say 'make sure we aren't biased', you're forgetting {or possibly don't realize} that none of us can help being what you call 'biased', because we each are coming from our own experiences and views. It is pretty much, impossible to not show SOME opinion in many scored quizzes. (cont.)
People still have their freedom, I can't exactly "take it away" lmao
That's quite an accusation you've got there.
No, it just means they couldn't be bothered to research.
I think this is a pretty good idea, I just wish there were something like this when I was a new user myself! Especially when bringing up tags, over the years I've gone back and added them to some of my stuff and they got way more responses afterwards
