Chapter 1

Batch #1 - April 17, 2014

by: Noiz
Happy Thursday everyone, and happy early Easter! It's Good Friday tomorrow so no school yaaay

Code Geass (anime):

My Rating 5/5
Episodes: Two seasons, 50 episodes in total.
Warnings: None. Expect some feels.
Why you should watch: It's.. just breath taking. It's about a boy named Lelouch vi Britannia, an extremely intelligent man. He's pretty normal, besides the fact that he is the King of Britannia's son. One incident, though, causes Lelouch's life to turn upside down.. after he gains a certain power from a mysterious woman.

I watched this last year, and it made me cry so hard. Lelouch is such a beautifully developed and powerful character, it makes me want to cry. He's one of my favourite characters, ever.

Similar animes: Code Geass is one of those 'contract' and 'power' animes. Related animes that you may have seen are: Black Butler, Pandora Hearts.

Other: The OPs/EDs, most of them, are nothing special, but some of the OSTs are nice.

Elfen Lied (anime & manga, watch anime first I would suggest. If you like it, read manga.)

My Rating 4.5/5
Episodes: 12
Warnings: Gore and nudity
Why you should watch: This story mainly focuses on this 'Diclonious' named Lucy. A Diclonius, is said to be the "Destruction of Man-Kind." They possess long and invisible arms, strong enough to be able to rip out your head or any limbs, and throw things within their length.Lucy, escapes a lab that studies them but winds up getting shot in the head. She falls into the sea and drifts off to the shore.. where she ends up having a different personality than before. Rather than being psychotic, she is shy and having to lose all her memories, is only capable of saying "nyuu."

She is taken in by two teenagers, Kouta and Yuka.

However, life isn't going to be that simple for them..

Besides the art being a bit.. not amazing, the gore and the story is here to make up for it! Doesn't everybody love to see exploding limbs?! Okay? No?

The story is really sad, and I think is worth a few hours of your time. Please don't pull it off as simply 'pornography' and 'gore,'. To really enjoy and feel this anime, you need to understand Lucy and her feelings.

The OP is very beautiful.

Attack on Titan (anime & manga, again, same rules imply from up there ^^

My Rating 5/5? Definite 5/5 once they finish Attack on Titan.. EVEN IF IT'S ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL AND MAKES ME WANT TO RIP MY BODY OPEN
Episodes One season, 25 episodes.
Warnings: Gore
Why you should watch: Titans - horrible giants that only focus on devouring man-kind, with no sort of purpose or reason whatsoever. It's considered that they do it for 'fun', as if they're playing 'games.' Humanity, builds 3 walls to protect themselves. For over 100 years, they lived in peace. Well, until, The most outer wall, Wall Maria.. falls, by the hands of the 50+ meter, Collossal Titan, and the Armored Titan..

Eren Jeager, sworn to destroy them all.. but what happens when things don't go exactly as planned?

Sorry, I didn't explain Attack on Titan very well. Let's just say, it's gore, feels, deaths, and pure awesomeness.

The character are amazing, and I just love them all riweos;dmdwos. It's bound to get you hooked on the first episode. Believe me, I couldn't stop watching it. I don't really have any complaints, except some parts were kind of stupid. Haha. Yes, and I'm not saying this because it's maybe 'popular,' and maybe even considered 'overrated', but because I truly enjoy Attack on Titan. Being a fan of it's OSTs (they are SO BEAUTIFUL LIKE I CAN'T EVEN. JUST THE MUSIC. IS AMAZING ON IT'S OWN.), characters, and the gore, it made the watch truly an amazing experience.

The manga is very well the same, it's a bit farther than the anime and is still on going. The only complaint I have is that the art is not really.. err, not like amazing, but it's still very good. The anime's art is pretty good though.

So yes! Maybe I'm considered heartless, but I hadn't cried once throughout the whole anime (the manga ehh few tear up moments here and there), and I don't know maybe it's just me.. but there is still very much feels. It hurts me to think about how Attack on Titan will end. Really, really painful one? A sweet, happy one? Who will die? My favourite characters? Bitter-sweet ending?

Anyways. Yeah. You should watch AoT.

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (sequel)

My Rating: 5/5
Episodes HnNKN: 26. HnNKnK:24
Warnings: Gore, disturbing, physiological.
Why you should watch: Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, is basically repeating events of a small village called Hinamizawa.
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai, IS WHERE, a girl named Rika, a girl trapped in the repeating cycle of the cursed village. With her friends, she is constantly dying after a certain event. Her goal, along with her ghost-god like friend, is to find peace for the village. Rika is the only one who (USUALLY) remembers her death after death. Each time she dies, she is taken back to maybe a bit farther in the past, or a bit closer to the date that she will die. (sometimes, some of her friends will NOT be there because everytime she goes back in the past something changes)
She constantly tries to find a way to have the village cursed by Oyashiro-sama, but it almost seems useless.
Unusual murders, friends betraying one another.. will they ever find peace?

At first, this anime is very confusing. Even though Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni is the PREQUEL to Higurashi no Naku koro Ni Kai, I recommend watching Kai first? It won't matter. But that's how I watched it.

This story is about friends and betrayal. It is a very.. er, interesting watch. Terrifying, to put it simply. I would watch this anime for feels and a good scare. It's one of my favourite animes, hence why it is here to begin with! The art is not amazing but truly it does add to the scariness of this anime.

Note: to put it simply, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni does not take the perspective of anyone, but instead just shows death after death as time repeats itself.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni KAI, is where it takes the POV of a girl named Rika, and she tries to find a solution.

Hataraku Maou-Sama! Or in english, The Devil is a Part-Timer!

My Rating: 3.5/5
Episodes: 12 (it's getting another season though!)
Warnings: None
Why you should watch: It's simply hilarious. Dark Lord of another world, after being driven out of his world, abandons "Ente Isla", and surrenders to half-angel, Hero Emilia.

There, Satan creates a portal to another world and escapes with one of the demon generals, Ashiya. They find themselves at Earth, in Japan.

"Maou" (satan) and Ashiya then have to make a living! With little demonic powers left, they have to find a way to adjust to living in the human world! First, starting with Maou working part-time at Mg-Ronalds (Mcdonalds lol)

But, Maou still plans to take over Japan before taking back Ente Isla!! But it's not that easy. "Emi" and other characters from his world disrupt his little poor life in Japan..

Simply HILARIOUS. I get a good laugh out of this anime no matter how many times I watch it! It's a really good anime to watch if you just want to relax and smile. :D

Well that's it for now! I'm probably going to upload another part later on the day. Most of these animes are popular so you may have already heard/watched! I seriously have a shi-ton more anime/manga to recommend but I'm going to go eat now so bye (u.u)//
