Chapter 11

by: ImBack_
Kendra's POV:
I was sorting through clothes.

"No." I said tossing that shirt away.

"Ewww." I said to another shirt. I sighed and continued to search through my closet.

"There is nothing to wear!" I shouted.

"Well," A voice started. I turned around to see Jenna smiling at me.
"Alex told me you and Jason got a date." She smirked at me.

"It's not a date! We're hanging out...as friends." I replied, throwing another shirt.
Jenna's eyes swiped over my room, random clothing thrown everywhere.

"Do you need something to wear?" She asked, picking a shirt off the ground. My brows furrowed as I looked at her confused. She never acts this nice. Ever.

"What's up with you?" I asked.
She sighed and leaned against the wall with a dreamy look on her face, "I think I really have feelings for Jason's Brother." I gagged a bit.

"Shut up!" She shouted, "Do you want me to help you with your outfit or not?" I sighed and nodded as she dragged me into her room.

"Okay what about this shirt?" I stared at it.

"No." She frowned and huffed out some air.
Just then, my phone buzzed. I pulled it out to see a text from Jason that said,

"Plans changed...let's just walk around town & @ 6." I sighed and looked up at my sister.

Jason's POV:
I sent the text and sighed, "Dude...I don't think I should like her as much as I do." I said to Alex. He looked away from the TV at me, and grinned.

"Why? Cause of the Rhina chick?" I nodded. He chuckled but didn't say anything more.

It was 6:20. Damn I'm late. After getting changed I rushed out the door with the bomb trigger in my hand. I had to make sure I pressed it at nine.
I walked up to Kendra's door and rang the bell. I stood there waiting with my hands in my jeans pockets.
I heard talking through the door and footsteps.

"Don't be too long now!" I heard her mother saying. I placed the most friendly smile on my face as the doorknob turn and opened.

I saw Kendra wearing A black tank top with a white vest put over it and some white shorts; topped off with some black converse.

"Hey," She said stepping out and slowly shutting the door behind her, "For a second there...I thought you weren't coming." I chuckled and shook my head, "Do I look like the type of guy."

She raised an eyebrow and snickered at me, "Do you want me to answer that?" There was a laugh in her voice.

"Ready to go?" I asked. She nodded as we walked onto the side walk and out of neighborhood.

"So...Mr. Jason McCann," She began, "Mr. Big shot that everyone seems to be afraid of." She stated.

"You're not scared of me." I pointed out. She smiled and looked down at the ground. I felt her hand grab mine.
I held her hand tight as we kept walking.

"Why would I be scared of you?, " She questioned looking up at me, "That would be reading a book by its cover." We kept walking till we made it to the local park. There weren't many people there, a few families and some other teens.

She led me to a tree where we would be shaded from the slowly fading sun. She sat down leaning her back on the tree and I did the same. We sat there for a moment, not speaking.

"The sunset looks beautiful." She whispered putting her head on my shoulder.

"It is isn't it?" I replied.

"You know Jason, I don't understand how a rocky hard dude like you...could be so soft at the same time. I doubt you were always like that."
