Love? I don't think that's the right word for it.

"No." I shook my head.

"Good. I don't like it either." I had lost count of how many houses that we had looked at; we were growing tired but neither of the sets of parents would let us finish until we chose one.

"You haven't even looked inside!" Mother glared at us both.

"We don't need to. We don't like it."

She rolled her eyes, "You might like the interior. Get out and look Natalia."

"No."

Her eyes narrowed and she opened her mouth to argue back, until Dad cut across her,

"Esther. It's their choice, if they don't like it then they shouldn't buy it."

Mother huffed but shut up as I gave Dad a grateful smile.

The drive to the next house was silent. We pulled into a quiet suburb, with trees lining the pathways on either side of the road. The houses seemed far away enough that you wouldn't annoy eachother or feel claustrophobic but close enough to not feel secluded. We drove up the street and pulled to a stop in front of a house near the end. It was tall, easily three stories, with a flowered garden at the front and trees leading around the edge of the house to, what I presumed, was the back garden.

I smiled as I climbed out of the car, I stood there staring up at it as I felt someone slip their hand into mine.

"Come on," Lucas said quietly as he tugged me forward. We walked inside and searched downstairs and the rest of the house. It definitely needed refurbishing, but we could do that. In fact, it would make it more like ours.

I loved it.

And, by the look on Lucas's face, he did too.

"Luke?" I called, we were exploring the garden when I turned around again and he has disappeared.

"Over here."

I followed his voice and saw him posing next to some dodgy sculpture. He grinned at me as I laughed.

"What?" He asked innocently, leaving his pose behind and walking over to me, " I thought I looked pretty hot, myself."

I smiled, "Oh yeah. Do that again, and I'll have to jump you right here." I raised my eyebrows at him suggestively.

"Oh really?" he grinned and pulled the pose again.

I jumped on him. Which resulted in knocking us both to the floor, me on top of him.

"Kinky." he muttered as he reached up and kissed me.

I kissed him back, us both getting a little bit carried away in the process.

"Ahem."

We broke apart straight away. Lucas rolled from his new position, off of me and onto the floor.

"If you're quite finished," Mrs Burton said coldly, "we want to know what you think."

I looked up under my lashes and saw everyone standing there staring at us; Mother; looking smug, Dad; looking disappointed and more than a little bit disturbed. Mr and Mrs Burton; not looking amused and shielding Ellie's eyes as she struggled to regain her sight. And finally the poor realtor, who looked exceptionally uncomfortable and didn't quite know where to look.

I blushed bright red and avoided their gazes - the ground really is rather interesting in times like these.

"Siht." I heard Lucas say next to me.

"Lucas!" Adriana Burton cried as she moved her hands from her daughters eyes to her ears.

"Mother! Let go of me!" Ellie protested noisily.

"No. Not while there are such obscenities occurring!" She glared at Luke and I.

"God, Mother! You're forcing us to marry! You can't expect or want us not to... y'know..." he trailed off; obviously wishing that he hadn't mentioned anything.

"Not in the garden!" She shrieked, causing everyone to wince.

"Whatever Mom. You can either have it one way or the other. Your choice."

He got up and held his hand out to me. I took it and got up.

He marched us over to the realtor, who looked even more embarrassed and uncomfortable now.

"Want this house?" Lucas asked me bluntly.

I nodded and he smiled and then turned back to her, "We'll take it."
