Tell me when you find out.
Write down something completely stupid, made for kids 5 years old or just utter nonsense. Usually, when I do this (or even think about it), I think "Why would I be writing/thinking about this when I ''could'' be writing/thinking about ___________"
I've hit my head with the palm of my hand...that usually works. Or watch anime or even read a book for inspiration or draw. those work too. =D
I usually distract my mind with things like Music, Television, Reading, Internet and read stories of the same genre and jot down ideas when they come into your head.
i read other people's stories, but instead of reading for the story, i read it to see how they worded things and focus on the structure of the story
I've never had writer's block
It's not like it's a medical condition, so just chill for a bit and then get back to thinking about it. Read others' stories of the same genre and do something productive beforehand.
I usually just wait for it pass over.
Just listen to music and think about the song from a character's perspective. Just sit and think for a bit. Sometimes it calms me enough to clear my head and think about the story solely. Also, don't worry if it doesn't go away immediately; just allow the block to vanish on its own in its own time.
Listening to music is a really good thing to do, or watch a movie, just something to take your mind off of it for a while, and then come back to it later with a more clear mind. I do this a lot and then with a fresh mind I can actually think of things I want to happen.
