Okay, thanks for the advice (both of you).
I just got my permit...
Oh, and it's also important to understand that the drivers around you (should be) all experienced; they know what they're doing and can react to however you're driving on the road. Don't focus as much on the drivers around you; focus on perfecting your driving and where you're going, and you'll just blend in with all the surrounding cars ;)
Do you have your license yet? I just got mine :)
Definitely start slow, like in a vacant parking lot, to get the feel of your car; its acceleration, its steering, the response to the pedals. Practice using your mirrors and blinkers.
Go to an open country road where there are fewer cars and you can just focus on yourself. Over time, after driving school, and like mentioned above, practice, you'll become more confident in no time and ready to take on the road without any supervision. :)
push yourself to drive more so you can get more practice and such..
I'm still afraid to drive.. but I'm practicing and it's becoming easier and less scary.
