For the last time NO! You do realise that this is the most over-asked question when it comes to video games, right? Banning violent video games will do nothing because it is the frustrating games that causes aggressive feelings.
Honestly this would be impossible to do anyway. Why? Because violent video games sell to a large fan base, and banning them would put a lot of companies out of business, affecting the economy.
I'm not sure..
I mean.. I can see both sides to this.
Like.. studies do show that aggressive video games do lead to more hormone increase which can cause like anxiety, depression, violence, etc.. but at the same time.. that's not always the case. Also hormone increase does have its positive side.
So I'm not too sure..I don't think you could turn into some psychopath that kills people.. but it does have it's negative and positive side to it.
HECK NO! if I didn't have my violent video games I would have to take my anger out on real people! Dont let my looks fool you, I ripped a tree out of the ground and pulled the door off of a car when I got mad once. I have controll to where i've never actually hurt anybody (at least not seriously) but I have a dark side and its been getting stronger. If I dont let it out on video games it could take total control and I'm not sure I could stop it if that happened.
I'm not sure about this. If you play let's say, Madden 2012, it doesn't mean you'll become a star football player, does it? And I do also believe that violence leaves psychological marks somehow.
Depends how violent. I agree with Leo, personally. Grand Theft Auto is a terrible game and should be banned. But if it's a game like Zelda or something I think it's fine. (I don't play m rated games, so that can kind of explain my opinions on this too.)
Games like Grand theft auto should be banned, it's basically a game about being a criminal, I hate that game. Other than that, kids should be allowed to play any video game they want, violent video games don't make people violent. If a kid wants to shoot up a school, he's going to try to do it whether he plays Call of Duty, or Mario Kart.
That sir, is a lie. Just cuz people play a video game doesnt mean they'll do it. I play games like that all the time and they're fun. I have no thoughts about actually doing that stuff and neither do any of the gamers I know.
If you're talking about the game Grand Theft Auto then yes. Those types of games should be banned, what point do they serve anyways? Does it really teach you how to survive? No, it teaches kids how to steal cars and run away from the cops. Not a game I want my kids even near.
Yeah I agree. They're terrible.
