billions years old and evolution
That was fun. I needed a brain teaser. =D
Seriously? Wow. You've got this down to an art, eh?
The Universe is freakin old. I mean, Earth alone is 4.6 billion years. We can only guess how long the Universe has been around. Anyone that believes we've only been here 4000 years or whatever is a dumba**
i put yes, but it really could go either way.
Most of you don't believe in God, but for those of you that do and chose "yes", nobody knows for sure, EXCEPT God. The scientists try to estimate how old Earth is by studying rocks, mountains, and fossils. But like I said, no one knows for sure, not even the smartest person on the planet.
In simpler words. science is one theory, that can't be proven 100% bc it is almost impossible to test everything. And everyone is intitled to their opinions as long as they can back it up. And that everything we known today, might be proved wrong in the feature. For example the geocentric theory was beleived from 300BC until about the mid 1500's, when it was thought to be wrong, then later proven wrong. Thats all I'm really trying to say. So anyone could be right.
OKay, science isn't about proving things wrong. Its about what we can learn to improve our way living and understandings. Someone who is very scientific would know that. Everything in science is pretty much a theory, including what Einstein and Newton have said. Therefore, gravity is a theory even though its all around us. E=M2 is a theory, and the calculations could be all wrong, changing everything we know today. All we can really do is guess and try to find the right answers.
There are scientific laws. There are not all theories.
Robert, I have figured it out. We give you perfectly logical explanations and reasons what you believe couldn't be true, and yet you remain stubborn and stuck to your belief. This is because you think that just because we don't have as high an IQ as you, or are as old as you, that we cannot logically and reasonably respond. Therefore, there is no point to try and push you to believe in what we believe in. Just because I am 13 and you are 18 does not mean I can't be as logical in my responses as-
I don't really come here to often anymore.
OH! I am waiting for a logical explanation on why evolution, the big bang, gravity, etc are not true. Please back it up with mathematics and empirical evidence. Not your piece of trash book which you guys jokingly refer to as "holy". I will be waiting. OH! And make sure you publish it because if you can prove any of these ideas wrong it would be a scientific breakthrough. And if you do prove one or all of them wrong, I am sure that you will go down in history as an equivalent to Einstein.
Just as a not: I actually disagree with the pastor and my dad on certain things, so what you just said does not apply to me. And what my authority figures and I do agree on are what they taught me that has been backed up by fact.
what's funny is that there are two sides to an argument going on in this comment section, the religious and non-religious BUT something very similar is being said by both sides. Religious: "nothing made God". Non-Religious: "atoms actually do just "pop" into existence". So does that mean what you are arguing about is, what 'nothingness' made the world?
