Chapter 1

I Am Glad to Live In The U.S.

by: NeonGreen
I Am Glad to Live In the U.S.

I am glad to live in the U.S. because I am free
I can stand up for myself and I have liberty.

I am glad to be in the U.S. because the flag is always there
I am glad to be in the U.S. because things can be just and fair.

I am glad to be in the U.S. because I am under organized protection
I am glad to be in the U.S. because I can believe in Christ’s resurrection.

I am glad to be in the U.S. because it’s special and it doesn’t lack a thing
I am glad to be in the U.S. because the flag is always in full swing.

I am glad to be in the U.S. because it has a lot of worth
I am glad to be in the U.S. because it is the place of my birth.

I am glad to be in the U.S. because we, the people, can summon together,
where our Founding Fathers signed the Constitution with a quill feather.

So the U.S. may not be London,
It may not be Rome,
But I am glad to call it Home Sweet Home.
